Exhibitor comments on INTERBOOT

Markus Graf, owner of GrafYachting, Bénéteau dealer on Lake Constance:

"We're very satisfied. There were a lot of customers who came specifically because they wanted to buy a boat next year. We have never made as many special offers as this year, and we also concluded a large number of deals."

André Leers, owner and Managing Director of Leers Yachting International, Elan representative for southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland:
"We've seen a rise in sales compared to the previous year. A large number of our yachts are being sold to customers in the Adriatic region. We're very pleased with the atmosphere in Friedrichshafen. The Internet service is also very professional."

Peter Grimm, member of the board of directors and co-owner of Brunnert-Grimm:
"Visitors were extremely knowledgeable. The dates for INTERBOOT proved once again to be ideal for a boat show. It's close enough to the current season and offers sufficient lead time to the new season. This is the right time for customers to order their new boat. We're selling Bénéteau Yachts for the first time at INTERBOOT and the response from visitors has been enormous. A large number of potential customers are interested in taking the boats for a trial run after the show. Our new zero emissions sports boat with a hybrid drive also attracted a great deal of interest among visitors."

Michael Hammermeister, Managing Director and owner of Hellwig Boote:
"We had better inquiries than last year and are satisfied with the sales that we've made."

David Clavadetscher, head of the Swiss Boatbuilders' Association:
"We've received positive feedback from the Swiss companies exhibiting at the show. Quite a number of Swiss visitors came to INTERBOOT and the wide selection of boats from Swiss boatbuilders was very popular. Our joint stand also proved to be a success, and there is a great deal of interest in expanding it next year. This stand was intended to serve as a "starting point" for boatbuilders that want to branch out and exhibit on their own in the coming years, and we've achieved that objective."

Bruno Hausammann, Managing Director Hausammann Caravans & Boote AG, Jeanneau importer for Switzerland:
"A large number of Swiss visitors came to our stand. You could say that INTERBOOT is our "home base" exhibition. Customers were interested in the larger sailboats and primarily in motorboats."

Arthur Dubach, Managing Director WAR Bootbau & Boothandel:
"We made excellent contacts and deals. There were lots of visitors from Switzerland at INTERBOOT, especially from eastern Switzerland. The trade show offers an excellent combination of exhibition halls and a test harbour, which makes it possible to take trial runs."

Mike Reuer, General Sales Manager Bavaria Yachtbau:
"We're satisfied with the trade show and we've attained our objectives."

Holger Gohdes, Managing Director and owner of Tauchsport Pro Marine:
"INTERBOOT went perfectly for us. We had a fantastic exhibit and are extremely satisfied. The deals that we made at the trade show have met all our expectations. What's more, we've won a large number of new customers and are looking forward to a tremendous trade show follow-up business with many customers coming to go diving with us."

Gerhard Schöchl, Managing Director and partner of Schöchl Yachtbau, Sunbeam Yachten:

"We had significantly more visitors at our stand than last year and roughly 50 percent of them were from Switzerland, and the Swiss are an important customer group for us. We noticed that many potential customers at the show were newcomers to the sector."

Josef Martin, owner Yacht- und Bootswerft Josef Martin and Chairman of the Lake Constance Boatbuilders' Association:
"Attending INTERBOOT constitutes an important cornerstone for the existence of the Lake Constance boatbuilders. We want to expand and enhance our presentation for next year."

Hartmut Holtmann, Managing Director and owner KH+P Yachtcharter:
"Visitors came to us with very specific questions. These days the Caribbean appears to be enjoying renewed popularity and the Mediterranean and the Balearic Islands and Italy are highly fashionable along with traditional regions like Croatia."

Klaus Boesch, member of the Board Boesch Motorboote:
"Visitor calibre was very high this year. We also noticed an intense interest in electric boots. Engineering in this sector is advancing rapidly and rechargeable batteries are becoming increasingly powerful."

Christian Melzheimer, Sales Manager Assistent Yamaha Motor Deutschland:
"INTERBOOT was an ideal platform for us to present the new F 350 outboard motor. Our exhibit down at the harbour also attracted a good deal of attention and we were able to take trial runs with the customers to demonstrate the motors in action."

Markus Krüger, Managing Director Krüger Werft:
"Visitors were extremely interested in the Hanse Fjord 40 and it attracted big crowds. This year's visitors were the best that we've seen at Friedrichshafen in a long time and we're looking forward to doing brisk business following the show."
